A scaleup in consumer services space and improved financial planning capabilities
A North American $5MM profit-making scaleup in consumer services sector wanted to improve their corporate and business financial planning tools as part of their growth journey. Our three month engagement by team of two partners with the clients C-suite included developing a comprehensive “financing toolkit” that included such components as preparing a Pro Forma dashboard for comprehensive forecasting and 360-degree view of the business, both simple and complex financial model calculators, key metrics calculators including cash flow, NPV, ROI, IRR, payback and WACC, and various scenario planning tools combined with tools for valuation methods to help in capital raising as part of the strategic objectives of the client.
The two-staged assignment also included conducting a valuation of the business using Comparable Company Analysis (CCA).
Case outcomes
After the engagement the client had a comprehensive corporate & business financial planning toolkit improving the financial planning capabilities of the business and, most importantly, the ability to negotiate with 360 degree transparency with potential investors during subsequent capital raising rounds. One year after the completion of the assignment, the client was successful in raising $1.5MM of new capital (series B) to support their long-term growth strategy.
