Tiia Koskela-Helenius


Since joining HKH Management Consulting in 2015 as a Research and Business Analyst, Tiia has ascended to lead the Business Design Development & Innovations practice area.

With over two decades of professional experience, she has established herself as a distinguished advisor in commercial transformation, particularly skilled in organizational design, re-design and development within the consumer packaged goods, retail, and consumer product industrial sectors.

Tiia’s extensive background in market research, especially in secondary research, complements her deep understanding of how organizational structures facilitate strategic initiatives. Her tenure at HKH has been characterized by her contribution of pioneering insights and forward-thinking analyses. She has adeptly led numerous client projects focused on organizational design and re-design across various industries that HKH Management Consulting serves, including publishing, consumer goods, health technology, wellness, and travel.

Her recent work involves delving into the disruptive trends and opportunities emerging from the convergence of the global wellness and tourism industries, laying the groundwork for innovative business models that enable organizations within these sectors to redefine their strategic positions.

Furthermore, Tiia is at the forefront of HKH’s internal “design lab,” where she oversees the analysis, exploration, and experimental testing of new organizational and business models. Her leadership extends to the formation of an agile, on-demand global network of research teams, designed to deliver tailored research support and resources based on specific client requirements.

Tiia’s academic credentials include a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a specialization in Contract Law from the University of Helsinki, Finland. Her commitment to professional development is evidenced by her completion of numerous courses in market research and analysis techniques throughout her career from institutions such as The University of Edinburgh and Stanford University. As the primary author of the DTC Quarterly publication, Tiia’s contributions continue to shape industry standards and practices.

In her role, Tiia plays an instrumental part in aiding clients to refine their operating and go-to-market strategies. Her expertise and innovative approach have made her a key figure in assisting SME organizations to navigate and thrive in the face of commercial transformations.
